Hey all, I claimed the IA center from my living room to see how the app works before I actually hop on the bike (please don't hate me!). Heading out there soon to see what the center is actually like.

3.5 easy miles on unpaved Nip and Tuck Rd. from ID-75/Stanley. Good place to park the bike and trek one mile to center location. Continued on same road another 2.8 miles and excited onto ID-21 Road could be a greater challenge if it is wet etc. .

We (my wife came along) turned south from US20 onto NF23 (paved) for 2.1 mi to the cattle guard where we parked the bike. Good shoulder. Trekked east for 780 yds then north for 50 more to the center using Joel's app. Total foot travel round trip, 1.75 miles. We left a marker on the spot the claim was submitted from. "To my friends from OR, don't be offended if you should locate it. "Using the only material available, the center of your state in now marked with a pile of cattle dung." ; )

Easy-peasy! Right on the road surrounded by some wonderful apple orchard country. Make note of the special/unusual white cliff formations along Stemilt Creek Rd. Safe to say I would never have visited this area were it not for Joel's creativity. Would have been a shame to have missed it.

After 14 miles of one of the worst roads I've ever had a street bike on there was still another 1.6 miles of walking across very soft dirt inundated with sage brush and prickly pear cactus. Not for the feint of heart. Recommend allowing a lot of time and plan on coming out during daylight hours.

A bit more than a mile from the nearest road. Unknown what the terrain is like as I was there in the middle of the night.

This Center is 450 yards off an easy seven mile dirt road. There is a monument of sorts located close to the road but the Centers Center is approximately 420 yards east. There is an unlocked gate through which you can go. The terrain is an easy walk all the way to the actual Center.

What makes this Center so difficult is not the distance but the terrain. The surface is like walking on a mattress.

Center is located far from paved road. Nearest you can get to it without going through a locked gate is 2.6 miles. Google maps shows a road passing to the north of this Center. That road is no longer accessible. Access to it was cut off when they paved Grass Valley Road.

Four miles of easy dirt road will take you within 150 yards of this center. It is, however, on (unposted) private farm land and down in the cattails. Depending on how much rain has fallen recently this could be a messy one to nail down.

Center is on private property in a somewhat swampy area right next to the road. Parked on the shoulder and made my first claim.
